Empecé este trabajo en el Centro de Formación Escénica de Andalucía gracias a las Residencias Artísticas que promueve la Junta de Andalucía cada año. Mi proyecto «Algún día pensaré qué fue de ti y qué fue de los arboles» fue uno de los elegidos para realizar la residencia.

Conectado con mi tesis doctoral la primera parte la dediqué a investigar sonidos del paisaje sonoro del Humedal del Pádul un territorio a unos kilómetros de la ciudad de Granada y perteneciente al Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada. Esta zona protegida siendo un punto caliente de alta biodiversidad me permite encontrar una gama de sonidos de la naturaleza muy amplia para después trabajar con ellos.

I started this work at the Andalusian Center for Performing Arts Training thanks to the Artistic Residencies promoted by the Andalusian Government each year. My project «Someday I Will Think About What Became of You and What Became of the Trees» was one of those selected for the residency.

Connected to my doctoral thesis, I dedicated the first part to researching sounds from the soundscape of the Padul Wetland, a territory located a few kilometers from the city of Granada and part of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park. This protected area, being a biodiversity hotspot, allows me to find a wide range of natural sounds to work with later.

Estuve unas semanas trabajando con los sonidos grabados y con un piano que tenían en las instalaciones del Centro. *El personal del centro me cuidó y me dio toda la ayuda posible, son encantadoras.

Después de este tiempo de creación en solitario decidí compartir el proyecto a dos músicos con los que tenía inmensas ganas de trabajar: Rocío Palao (percusionista) y Rubén Rojo (saxofonista). Lo bueno de trabajar con gente con la tienes sincronías tanto musicales cómo conceptuales y políticas es que el trabajo en conjunto se convierte en, no solo un aprendizaje fluido y agradable, sino también en un espacio para el disfrute.

En un par de semanas dimos estructura a la música y empezamos a preparar la muestra pública final que realizamos el día 27 de septiembre de 2024.

I spent a few weeks working with the recorded sounds and a piano they had at the Center’s facilities. The staff at the center took care of me and gave me all the help possible; they are wonderful.

After this period of solitary creation, I decided to share the project with two musicians I was eager to work with: Rocío Palao (percussionist) and Rubén Rojo (saxophonist). The great thing about working with people with whom you have musical, conceptual, and political synchronicities is that collaborating becomes not only a smooth and enjoyable learning experience but also a space for delight.

In a couple of weeks, we structured the music and began preparing for the final public presentation, which we held on September 27, 2024.
